Howdy
I just received a beautiful baby girl bull mastiff. We named her Amy and she has a big sister named Lela who is a Great Dane. She is very happy with the dog condo my husband built for her and Lela. I am always looking for information on my pets. Can anyone suggest what kind of chew toys are best, and what kind of dog shampoo is good for her.

She really made the New Year special for me.

Hi! nancy..welcome to the board..
Kongs and nyla bones are good.
Rawhide and ropes aren't
If she has no skin problems Johnson's baby shampoo is mild and smells nice. Just be sure to rinse well
smile Congratulations on the new addition

You know what the MAJOR problem with these boards is? No matter what information you're looking for, you have half the people telling you one thing and the other half telling you the other. I see nothing wrong with rawhides, as long as they're made in America and your dog doesn't chew them up until they're soggy and swallow them whole....possibly choking on them. It's becoming sad how you have some people on a board telling you one thing and other people telling you another. It's like you find out what you want, then you have that contradicted....and leave knowing nothing more than when you came.... Your best bet would be to just ask your vet, if you've had the same vet for a while and trust his judgement......
